  • Yep! I love ballads too Uncle John. The Johnny Cash (boom chick uh, boom chick uh) strum does have a great feel with this song. Thanks for watching.

  • I could not remember who wrote this - then read on down. Thanks guys- written by Steve Goodman ( a good friend of John Prine) and sung so well by Arlo Guthrie.  Your strum has a real great sound of steel wheels on steel track with the bumps on the joints.

  •  I love a good story or story song.  Nice.

  • Thanks Jonathan! Of course you were there to catch it and play along with it live!!!

  • Until you mentioned it Kale, it didn't register as a train song, but train songs do seem to be Chugger friendly. Thanks for watching.

  • A classic train tune. Perfect for the CBG.

  • I agree Alan and thanks for the kind words! One measure of a great song is how many notable artists cover it and this is one of those.

  • "Well Done Slingers", what a great Song, first written and recorded by Steve Goodman in 1971. and since covered by a multitude of different Artists, hard to pick a favourite, but as per BrianQ's comment, Arlo Guthrie's version does deserve a mention smile

  • Glad you liked our Chugger rendition BrianQ! I enjoyed getting up to speed on this one.

  • Nice, Arlo had such a laid back style compared to his father, great version slingers 👍🏽
