  • The bridge should be placed on the sound board in the position that's twice the distance from nut to the 12 fret on a chromatically fretted instrument. This is an old banjo player's rule of thumb that I've seen applied equally well to other instruments, especially those (like the banjo) which have movable bridges. On your instrument, without measuring it, I'd say that you need to move the bridge 2 to 3 inches closer to the sound hole for best performance. Other than that is looks and sounds like a great instrument. No doubt your talent as a CBG player show off your instrument at its best.
  • Cool wood in the box, sounds good too.
  • Keni,

You called it. This box was bigger than I have built for in the past. I could have made a longer neck for sure. I lucked out and it still has a pretty good acoustic sound. I really do appreciate your comment, I have really admired all your stuff! Your playing is inspirational!

    Thanks!

  • Real nice build, but from an acoustic stand point the bridge is it too far back to make the top (soundboard) vibrate correctly. Compare this to a standard acoustic guitar. Please take my comments in a constructive way. I understand building has a steep learning curve. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.
  • sounds great
