Nice for Midnight on the Water! Easier to get those minor chords on the B part so it sounds sad. Took me ages to figure that out, and I still have not nailed it yet.
Thanks Diane. Yeah, I love this tuning but I only know about 4 tunes using it. Still it's worth tunig down if only for one or two.We play that hootchie version around here too but prefer to only do the snake charmer bit 1 time in the middle somewhere.
Thanks James,Randy and RTZ. Yeah Randy that drone comes from tuning the G string (lowest on fioddle) down even further to D an octave below the next string. Is the bowed instrument you're playing like a cello what you're referring to? It's got a cool sound. Oh, and the vids with you and your wife were great!

DDad! Love that drone! Around here, folks play the weird hootchie kootchie B part and then the C like you did. Gak.
Thanks Unc, hmm a CB piano? Maybe a CB kalimba which is also known as a thumb piano. Thumb pianist envy?
Man, that is pretty and I have fiddler envy. Not at all the same as pianist envy.
Thanks all. You might like to know this was take #6 on a moonshine night before I could play halfway in tune!
