I decided to build one of the American Banjo Kits from Carver Banjos. This is the first video in a series that will cover all the steps involved in building the banjo. During this episode, I unbox the kit and tell a little about it.

  • Should be a cool instrument when you are finished.

  • Looks interesting Kale! I’m looking forward to seeing how this comes together.

  • Thanks Dave and t-belly. I'm looking forward to it. More to come soon.

  • This will be a good series to follow. It`s going to be fun seeing you try to film yourself steaming that goat skin ;)

  • Fun Kale. Beautiful kit. Nice unboxing. I’ve stretched a good many banjos. It’s fun. Akin to throwing a pot. Magic happens. I use big truck hose clamps to hold the skin. It will be fun to see how the ties work.

  • Thank Uncle. I think it's gonna be a fun build. Also, Ben mentioned on the Gitty Gang Show... I've got a CB Gitty prototype headed my way. I'll be a building fool these next couple weeks.

  • Cool.  I have looked at those kits too.  Nice wood and work.  Good wishes for it.
