Three “Amazing Grace” sound samples of my recent One String Diddley Bow Build, AGP #433 - “Glenlivet”, the first two are played through my Roland Micro-Cube, on the JC Clean Channel with Full Gain and Volume, the third one is played through my Fender Mustang II Amp, using my favourite Grunge Settings.The first part is fitted with the original Piezo Disc, which I didn’t like, the second and third parts have the Piezo Disc removed, and a 4.5k MGB Five Dolla Make It Holla Pickup, recessed into the Neck, and Ghosted inside the Tube, in the Neck Position.:-)

Thanks for the tip Terry, I did check it out and was very impressed, great vocals, and interesting concept, but wouldn't work for me, cause I can't sing :{
AGP...If those two songs are your favorites, I suggest checking out The Blind Boys of Alabama Amazing Grace video. They perform the song over the Rising Sun backing track. It's good [but not as good as the music they put out in the 1940's and 50's. I don't care for the sound of modern productions.] Best Wishes!

"Thanks Rope Walker", originally tried to get away with building this one as cheap as possible, hence the Piezo Disc, the addition of Mag Pup, turned the original $11 build, into a $25 build, but it was well worth the additional cost, and is still pretty cheap by anyone's standards. :-)
"Thanks Doug", Yep!, the second version is definitely a much better sound, this ones played through some very basic settings on my Cube, and sounds even better with a few effects thrown in.
Now Amazing Grace to the Tune of Gilligan's Island !!!, another interesting thought, but I think I'll just stick to the original versions of two of my favourite songs, Amazing Grace and House of the Rising Sun. :-)
Definitely better with the pickup! I wish those dang piezo weren’t so easy and versatile for us non-builder builders. So easy to slap one on somewhere, slather it with glue and hope for the best... Thanks for the sound check video!
I like the second version best AGP. It was the mellowest. In the ukulele group I’m a part of we finish up House of the Rising Sun with the first verse of Amazing Grace. But if you really want to get out there, do Amazing Grace to the tune of Gilligan’s Island!!!
"Thanks UJ", I don't know if the Micro Cube is losing a bit of its Ooomph!, or I'm getting Deafer!, singing Amazing Grace to the House of the Rising tune sounds interesting, not sure If I could pull that one off thou!, I'm firing up the Mustang again today, along with the slab of "Bloodwwod" stay tuned ;-D

"Thanks Poorness", Yep!, there's definitely something about a 1 String Git, this one is my 17th Diddley Bow Build :-)

I always love a Diddley bow build. There's just something about a 1 stringer. Thanks for sharing AGP.
