Yeah I thought so to. Last weekend I did a router workshop and heaps of great ideas there. Once I get the notes sorted I'll post them. Lot of ideas for jigs for doing f-holes n the like. This guy is awesome he is a fine furniture builder that does all his furniture designs free hand and from those free-hand drawing then create the jig. All the jigs are home made there was one nifty jig for doing mortise and tennon joints with a table router. Even just little cool ideas like on his jigs for table legs he has written on (always in permanent marker) the name of the client, the year he made it and the price he sold the table for. That way he dosnt have to go scratching through records when he builds one similar because he has already done the costing etc. It was only a 6 hour course but he imparted masses of info and ideas. We also had free run of his workshoop to take pics of the jigs and tools etc....

This is proper craft - I aspire to this. My builds are more like "bolting some old crap together!" Thanks for posting this, it's good to have something to aspire to!
Ah! That would be Jamie Boss of Hot Strings Guitar Shop. A great resource for builders! Puts out a series of most excellent DVDs which can previewed on YouTube. He also runs hands-on guitar building classes not too far from where I live. Wanted to take one for a couple of years now. But with this economy (and my current finances), it will be a while before I can swing it. Still...I have it on my "bucket list."
