1928 national tri cone reso serial number 0 666 . YUP, 666 !!!!!!!!!Ok .- heres the story , I got the empty national body on ebay a while ago ,It’s a true 28 national , and is serial #0 666 I though “hummm” I gotta do something cool with this WITHOUT ALTERING THE ORIGINAL BODY .” so , I figured these plastic chrome skull Harley / rat rod tail light covers would look great in there and match the 666 theme . turns out they are a great fit and actually reso pretty good too.I made the neck out of a 1x2 and a 2x2 , and it’s a thorough body . the thin fret board on-top is from a 1948 Gibson lap steel . scale is like 22 and a half .EVERYTHING I HAVE DONE CAN BE UNDONE . and you will still have an original 1928 national tri-cone reso nickel plated silver . body .. un molested (except it looks like someone made a bit larger end pin hole (most likely for an end pin jack and pick up at one time . as many have done . ( it’s under belt tailpiece now ) . I didn’t even clean this body .This is a cool one of a kind , 3 string , cigar box guitar type , LAP player as is . but you could also restore it to original .THIS RECORDING IS ACCUSTIC .. JUST USING A COMPUTER MIC , NO EFFECTS NO AMP , NO ALTERATIONS OR EDITING .Sorry folks these bodys aint cheap , so she’s goin on ebay .Unless someone here makes an offer first . ;-) I won’t be listing it for a few days .Hope ya like her ;-)

  • thanx  guys .  yup,   can  go   back  to  original   easy as  pie ..   with  not  a change  .  no  extra screw holes  or  any glued  in  parts  . all  ya   need  is a screwdriver  to  remove  everything .  and free the  unchanged   body .

  • Stand back!   Get away from Pick.  Lighting is likely to strike him.  He has desecrated a classic guitar!  An heirloom!

Oh.  Read the text.  He bought the body, only.   666.   He made that neck.  The neck is my favorite part and it looks great and old enough to be original.   Man, it sounds good acoustic.   Wow. a National 3 string!   How cool is that?   And it could go back original if someone wanted to.  Huh.

Okay, it's safe to hang close with Pick.  I would love to take that thing for a test ride.

One of a kind and very cool.  Great photos the guys have posted.

    Good on yer, Pick.
