Your guitar playing is sounding pretty smooth Uncle John! The guitar tone is rich and blends nicely with your vocals. Well done!!!

Aha!, I do remember seeing the "The Canada Goose" before, it's the angle that confused this "Australian Goose"  ;-D

Thanks, Ross.  Will take a look at your song.  Factory was Mexico's Martin factory where their X series is made.    High pressure laminate sides, back and neck.   Solid spruce top.

Sounding Good John, I feel I should troll you for the factory but I just posted one and it's Mr. Hank. Put it back back in its case and grab a real git.

Thanks, Roy.   It was fun doing it- I've had a nasty summer cold and this was the first time I could sing in two weeks.  Got our Covid and Rabies shots, quit wearing masks and got sick!

Love it!

Thanks, for the kind words, Rope, Alan, Rick and Kale.  I really believe cbg, mando, etc., playing somehow improve six string playing too.   It all works together.

Rope, I have made wrecked old guitars into shelves in the same manner as the guitar case (behind me) in the video.  I left one at our old house and the musician friend who bought it and lives there tells me he gets good comments on it.

Allan, between the shelf and the reso four to the right is a Canada good made of old barn boards and above it, a round mirror and home made frame.

Thanks, Rick.  The guitar seemed a bit loud- if I had it to do over again, maybe I would not have used a pick.  That Martin X series with sold spruce top is really nice to play and listen too.

Thanks, Kale.  Like I just told Rick, I really like that six.   Although, I will likely always be better on four.  That 'tuning' or voicing is worth a try- a capo drop D.   Capo the 5 smaller strings at the second fret- leave the big E un-capoed.   Play in D and strum all six strings when you play the D chord (and the G).  Big full sound.

It just looks funny to see you playing that big ol' 6 string John. I always associate you with CBG. It sure does sound good though. That acoustic marries really nice with your harpin'.
