Trick Question.... Can you name the blues band that wrote this song?

Messing around with a 4 string open C- CGCE- using the four small strings from a standard set of 6. A pretty sounding tuning, but at bit high for my voice.
With an Iowa Saxophone in the key of C.
Now [0 (open)] I got a gal, sweet as can be.
She just ain't what she used to be.
She gets [5th] high headed.
That's plain to[0]see
(tag) Don't get [7th] above your raising
[5th] Stay down on earth with [open] me.

Looky here gal, don't high hat me.
I ain't forgot what you used to be.
When you didn't have nothing.
That was plain to see. (tag)

Girl, don't hold your head so high
Every time you pass me by
Cause' it don't mean nothing
To me you see. (tag)

Now looky here gal you better be your self
And leave that other stuff on the shelf
You're country baby
That's plain to see. (tag)

Thanks, Rick.  Andries, I did like you often do - I took a song from one genre (bluegrass) and did it in my own blues style.  Flatt and Scruggs were bluegrass greats and the 'inventer' of Scruggs style banjo played with thumb and finger picks.

my feeling say's foggerty(CCR) thats whit out listening, but after the listen you say its a earll ,it sounded faitly vermilliar but no aha hear ! doctoring the 4  gets your vocals up ! enough volume now ! saves on amp power!

I like the tuning, open C, sounds bluesy especially on slide! Standing might help you reach vocal C better, but I think you did a fine job here!

I wrote it. Can't remember when. Thank you for the memories John. Sax player didn't play the guitar also. Nice.

Yup, AGP.  Blue grassers and the father of Scruggs style banjo.

Nope!, couldn't the name Blues Band that wrote this song, but Mr Google informs me (rightly or wrongly??), that the Lyricist's were Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs ??  :-)

Thank you, Danny.   l love how this tuning sings, but it does not go well with my vocal range.

One the serious side ...I will be referring back to vids that deal with 4 string CBG's and picking up a little knowledge on making then sing...thanks John
