Well, it’s a well done vid, for sure. It doesn’t “illustrate” the song but it lends evocative imagery that adds to it and remains open ended. Which means... it’s good.

I was even further behind the curve on 'hearing and getting' Prine's stuff than you were.  Glad we hear and get it now.   Yup, that tribute would be a great idea, but this CBN pond has gotten kind of small for such things.   But heck, I might do it if a few more did.

THanks Unc, few songwriters have had the impact on American music then Mr. Prine. Is he Folk or Country or Americana who cares, he could make a grown man laugh and cry in 5 minutes. I first heard his songs in the mid 70's but didn't understand it until the 90's. This site should do a Prine and Clark tribute.

Oh man.  My eyes wanted to tear up early.  You do good Prine.   Love this song ad so many of his.  I have been listening to a lot of Prine and Guy Clark lately.  Wow, Wow, WOW on the wonderfully thought out and well matched video portion.   

When John Prine gets to heaven he's gonna smoke a cigarette 9 miles long and watch this..

Thanks RWCS, I cant take credit for the vid art. I have about 8 award winning animated shorts I have edited to fit some songs. this one is different but it had old people and a tree.

 I don’t even know where to start with this. It’s REALLY good. Like, is this your stuff,  did you generate all the graphics? Are they linocuts? Or computer programmed to look like cuts? Very cool. And super well done on guitar and vocals. I haven’t seen your other work. But, gosh! This is good.
