Steve's Christmas Log (Jamie MacBlues) On CB Nation Xmas album 2016

Song I wrote for CigarBoxNation 2016 Christmas album. Whole album available for free at CBNation site.

Steve's Christmas Log (Jamie MacBlues)
I was sitting underneath the Christmas tree, I didn't have no worries and no worries had me
When my baby came in, told me we were through
"You ain't been nothin but a liar and a cheat, you got wandering eyes, and wandering feet
I'm taking the car, and I'm taking the old hound too" (come on Blue, you good dog you)

I said you certainly pick your times to leave, I've had me some better Christmas Eve's
And don't forget my folks are coming over for their Christmas meal
She said " I like yer maw, but your dad's as bad as you, he's a cheat and a liar and a hundred other things too
And me and mama had a talk, and she's leaving with me too"

Well I went pure white, like I'd swallowed a frog, and I almost shat me a Christmas log
I figured this wasn't how Christmas was meant to be
I said "I'm gonna miss you, that's for sure, but somehow I feel I'm gonna miss the dog more,
For a man is only as lonely as a man chooses to be"

Now the moral of this story might be hard to see, I wrote the song, and it escapes even me
It's just a little ditty, to send to ma pal Steve
He's Slow of Paw but he's strong of heart, on CB Nation he plays a big part
And I just want to thank him, for all these Christmas CDs ( and everyone else
