Yes, that is correct about contest rules. Anybody can write the song and have another perform it. Songs will be judged based on melody, composition, originality and lyrics (when applicable). The quality of performance and production are not a consideration. Prizes will be awarded jointly to all authors and performers. Meaning the prizes offered for 1st-2nd or 3rd are awarded to winning song, all distributions of prizes are the responsibility of all collaborating parties.

james  o  ..  i  believe  you  can  write  the song and get  someone else to  preform it  for  ya    there  .

then  fight   over      / split  /  or  agree   on     the  prizes
