I believe it's because the necks are so skinny it holds the neck in the correct position as hank said and so thier hands don't cramp. What I understand.

Wonder what the harness on his thumb and forefinger is all about? you can see it on his left hand at about 1:38. Still, very cool!

Give it a week, they'll be pictures of three string guitars on here and they'll all have MASSIVE tuning pegs. Ace.
