Good eye! 1/2" ply for the sides, 1/4" ply for the back and 1/8" luan for the top. 4x8 sheets available local, so I cut 'em up! Also use it for the tops on my cajons. Pretty happy with the end result whether it's "correct" or not. One day, I'll buy a surface planer and experiment with other woods. Thinking cedar might be next...

"Good Promo Vid", love the sound and look of the (Plywood?) build your playing especially what looks like a Luan Ply Top?, which I've used a lot of over the past few years, but can no longer source in my local area, a lot people "Pooh Pooh" the use of plywood, but! I love it!!!!
