Trying my Regal Resonator lap style. Low action so I’ve got some noise. Should I raise the action?

Thanks Andries. Thanks Brian. I’ll look for my factory nut extension. I might just add a thin shim under the old nut to get it up like my homemades. I’d still be able to fret it then. A person with long fingernails played this guitar. The dishes on the fretboard are between the strings rather than wide dishes under the strings from pushing or pulling notes. I’ve never seen dishes like this before. I saw a fret board repair video that showed a board like this one. A guitar this old sure has a personality.

Great pickin’ Dave! + 1 on the Grover perfect nut. I’ve been using mine since 85’ & it’s always been a great secret weapon type tool that’s a must in every players’ collection, best thing is you only have to loosen your strings to put it on? cheers :D

Thanks guys. Your nuts don’t hurt, huh. Well, I think I even have one in my drawer. I’ll see. My old Hound Dog Dobro sports one. It works great there. My spouse says she likes it fine as is but that couldn’t hurt as it’s reversible. And sorry Buggy. I just forgot to turn up my volume on the pad. Next one will be louder.
