Red Rocking Chair on Fretless Tack Head Banjo

A recently completed fretless tackhead banjo. I can't take credit for the inlays - the fingerboard came like that from someone else's uncompleted project so ...

Thanks S Salinger.

Thanks Wade. I really like the lower tuning also. I'm wanting to build a cello banjo soon which is tuned a full octave below a standard banjo. I played one made by Gold Tone and dug the sound of it. .

Blown away! I really like it all. Interesting how the tuning sounds a little like a bass.

So I think I agree about the old songs and your voice. I am sort of working on a new cd to be given away. It will be up soon, but the idea is to see if I can get others to join in on this idea. I was thinking if you record 5 of your favorite songs all played and sung live into 1 mic. Then we could maybe give them away to each other as free downloads. I use bandcamp to host mine but there are other ways to do it as well.I just finished the recording today so it will be up in a few days. I will link it to you . I would love to hear you play and sing a collection of your favorite songs done this way. You too Unc. Turtlehead ron, all you guys, but I am rambling. On the other hand I would love to know what you would charge for this banjo or one like it. Christmas is coming and my wish list is not too long yet. Let me know if you have time or interest. Thanks.

Thanks Unc. It's good to have the time to get back on here. One more big festival this weekend and then my schedule starts to return to normal or something close to it.

Oh, and thanks for the comments on my voice Matthew! I've sung country and blues and pop songs and always felt like I was fakin' my way through them. I think these old songs are where my voice maybe oughta be.
