Old time fiddle, bluegrass, and irish are my aspirations. I do know where Glen Lyn is, I pass by it on my way up to the New River Gorge, I had no idea there was a festival there. I live more in the direction of Galax and the Old Fiddler's Convention is what most people around talk about. Thanks for the info!

Thanks Bobby. I almost always post a video right soon after my pictures. Don't know if you're into this old time fiddle style but Henry Reed is who this tune came from. He was from down around Glen Lyn, VA and there's an annual festival there in his honor

Thanks turtlehead. He was a true scholar and gentleman. I have a video from a couple of years ago of him playing one of my fiddles at Clifftop. He was just walking past my camp to get a sweater and stopped to remark about the odd looking fiddle I was playing, then sat down and played a tune on it. A highlight for me!
