Yeah, C.  A lot of the old time blues men - and a lot of the present time ones- are 'off' and varied in their timing and tend to do each verse slightly different.   Makes them best suited for playing alone or when playing with others, playing something very familiar.   

On the good side, it gives us the freedom to vary things a bit, be who we are,  and not be some strictly correct juke box.

C, Mr Andries is right.  Getting there, man.   So, good and getting better.  But turn up the volume is right.  You ain't never gonna sing real pretty..  But when you pick the right songs, singing pretty aint worth shite.    Sing with soul, feeling and more power.  Let it all hang out. 

I admire what you are doing, the guts, the journey, the love for the songs.

Man only way I found to pick up RL Burnside is listen to the song thousands of times beat your head against a wall
