Comment by Pass the Ammo on May 27, 2009 at 4:18pm: I made a guitar and gave it to him for his birthday a few weeks ago. 5 string acoustic. Action was high, he put a resonator something or other on it, changed the strings and tuned it to C, and says he is playing strictly slide with it. Supposed to make a vid for me sometime. I can't wait to see it. Check Joe out if you are in Atlanta, he plays at the 5 Spot quite a bit. This style is not what he usually plays, usually a lot of fingerpicking, open tuning acoustic blues stuff. Lot's of jazz influenced stuff also. Mostly, he is a good guy though.
