Sounds good.   That great old song seems to fall in and out of my playing repertoire.   Currently out but maybe to return.  My fave version is by Willie Watson.

AGP. That's a crazy coincidence. You could easily adapt this riff to fretless git by using open, 5th, and 7th with the slide.

"Well Done Poorness", always great to see a well explained easy to follow Tutorial, and a fine selection of song, love both Huddy's and CCR's versions, and funnily enough my recent AGP #435 "Taz" Build, was done whilst listening to a heap of John Fogerty's Solo Albums  :-)
