Great sounds Steve.

I'm afraid it's another vote for Moto GP here.  They say that F1 isn't what it used to be, but it used to be explosive fuel, minimal safety features, death and maiming, so today's (in my view) tedium may be the better option.

As for the real roads - forget it - especially in the South East.  Too many people, lots of them distracted, angry and aggressive.  I now only drive when I need to.  There's no pleasure in driving these days.  Where's my Werthers Originals ?

I'm afraid that F1 is my favorite way of getting a few hours sleep on a Sunday...watch the start and first couple of laps and the excitement is over...guaranteed snoozeville. It's a shame, but it ain't what it used to be. Moto GP is where the real racing is...no pitstops, no tyre changes, no team tactics, no auto gearboxes, no DRS etc...pukka wheel to wheel racing..and sliding round the corners...on two wheels...way to go!  When I can get the time this is my speed fix.........me being hounded by a guy 1/3 my age... Honda single vs my twin engined Subaru...80mph on one of these is bloody scary...but the adrenaline is good for the system I reckon. In one race I was chasing on the bumper of the kart in front at full speed and his engine blew up into my visor...I heard a bang and got peppered with hot shrapnel as the conrod exited the crankcase....what fun!
