Joe, those are good lines and fit the story.    I had seemed stuck.  That may help me get going again.   Thanks.

Some thoughts, Uncle John:

Ive been riding the rails for many a day

My hunger is tearin' me apart

And if you could spare me a nibble or two

The Lord will know you've got a heart

I know riding the rails ain't a great way of life

But my feet they aint nailed to no ground

Need the wind in my hair, and the sun in the my face

And that's why I keep travelling' around

That is like a good poem, Daniel.  I continue to work on it or try to.  We can come at it from more than one angle.  My current instinct is to set the scene talking, go into the song and keep it simple.

perhaps the hobo isn't who we think.

U.J., I cannot make a video yet. try as i have.

perhaps you can message me the parts you like?......(..may not give up.....).....

how about these for the next few verses: (...tangential from former verses....?)

...after listening again.......

i stepped up to him,...and said earnestly,....hey brother, how can i help out?.........

he tipped his gray hat,....and looked in my eyes,.....and said mister,.......please look about,........

i took note of the rags,....that hung from his frame,....and saw the deep pain in his eyes,....

right then i could feel,....that something might heal,.....what wonder lust couldn't disguise,......

a smile from my heart,..........and a wooden guitar,.............i gifted the man.......... pretzels i had in my bag.............

he smiled and we knew,.....as the train whistle blew.........the glow, of the journey, would grow.....

Ah.   Love that hobo cat, Nancy.

Good lines, Danny.  It seems like I could make this into a short story, but I am stuck (for now) on putting the parts together and making it a song.

Great one Unc.

here some lines: I've seen bad times and I've seen good

I've suffered all kinds of ills

But I wouldn't trade the hobo life and all it's thrills

for an ounce of gold.

Daniel, please go ahead and see if you can complete the song and even video it.  I think I have to set it aside for a while.
