Thanks for the interest Keith, and the questions. My choice of “deeper” for notes did not communicate clearly. A bigger box definitely influences the potential richness of the tone for a given note. I think the scale length also affects the color of a given note. I should have said “lower” notes, specifically the G you would get if you tune the A string in a 6-string guitar down to G. It took 200 lb test line and a 31 5/8” scale length to get enough tension to finally pull it off with fishing line.

Unplugged the guitar is quieter, but the volume is sufficient unplugged and I’m pleased with its unique and distinctive tone. Plugging it in does fatten up the sound!

Thinking that to get deeper notes, one needs a bigger deeper box. That box is bigger than the other one. Sounds really good.The piezo helps with sound too. Whjat does it sound like with out it plugged in.
