Jim, I make Xuns also. They date back to 6000 years in China. They are a globular flute with a blow hole like a transverse flute. I did a workshop with Bruce Gremmo. He's a rebound Xun virtuoso. He gets incredible sounds out of them. I also worked with Susan Rawcliffe. She's a world class ancient flutist. She plays didgeridoos also. I learned a lot from her.

Thanks boys. Yes I do have the how to for them. I'll post some drawings from my book on clay techniques. I used to do these with kids. They love it. They sound good as solos but are not in tune together. Each one has it's own tuning. Sometimes they play together great, just have to try a lot of them till the match is found. Slip cast bodies of the same size are more likely to match.
