Thank you Peggy. I cut the bottom out of the tin so the tambourine would be a tight fit and then secured it with a couple of screws. I was lucky to have a tin that was pretty close to the 10' diameter of the tambourine.

Thanks Rough Cut. I think the type of wood in the neck does affect the tone. Walnut would most likely had a similar sound and maple a bit more trebley. The tambourine I used was a good quality one and I think that helped with the over all sound too. Sure, message me with any questions.

That is awesome....would like to see the plans for the cookie tin and how the head was attached.   It sounds great and the musician plays excellent.
