There could be a grounding problem; I don't know. I used the prewired pickup from Gitty, so I know I didn't screw anything up. The strings I know aren't grounded. I haven't figured out a way to do that.

Luckily I don't have a choice anymore. I can't do anything more with it until I get a couple more tuners. That'll give me some time to put some thought into it.

Put the git down and step away.   Sometimes it's good to put a git away when you get frustrated and of course come back to it when you get the urge.
