Was gonna call it "Bron Yr Arse!" since it doesn't do justice to Jimmy's work :-) but this cigar box dulcimer-guitar already has the DAD (from the GAD) so ha...

Sweet playing. Sweet dulci tone too

Uncle John I wouldn't be doing this without you and the other 'long-timers' here, so you're doing just right :-)
The tonewood definitely takes it another level - as does thickness and bracing.
See my comments below about the picks. Asforplaying? Shear force of will brother :-)
Thanks for being a huge influence.

Well played Tom!

Wonderful.  I hope you will post more.  That is a beautiful instrument and maybe the tone wood paid off.  Lovely music and playing.  I put it on large screen to better see your playing and picks.

You and some others here get me wishing I could do what you do.  I love that music, but somehow it just does not come out of my head and heart.  I need to be thankful for what does come out.  And most of the time I am.

Thanks.

Thanks guys! Hope you get this because I'm don't know if I can reply directly or just in the general comments. Using a tonewood sound board makes a big difference - and of course thicknessing and bracing it.

Dave: Those are Fred Kelly Freedom picks made of delrin (some synthetic hard plastic). They're a little shrill-sounding and I can't get the warmth of this instrument out of them, but not much choice since taking 1/4" of bone off my index and middle fingers during a battle of wills with my table joiner-planer a few years back :-)

I tried a bunch but these fit the best though I did need to smooth the edges with some super-fine grit.

I agree with Jim. Beautiful tone. Very sharp dulcitar and nice finger picks. What are those Rough Cut?
