3 String Fretted Belinda Cigar Box Guitar with Flatpup

http://bemuzic.bandcamp.com/

I made this as a backup for my Cohiba CBG that I use a lot…which I made as a back up for the one I made before that. This may never end!!
It doesn't ring out quite as well as the Cohiba unplugged, but does have a nice twangy sound when picked back near the bridge that I like. Still getting to know it….anyway sounds great with the flatpup! Check them out here http://www.original-flatpup.com
I’m using a Roland AC33 amp. The first bit it has some reverb…searching for that Red Dog sound! The second bit only has a touch of reverb, and on the last bit I’m using a Wampler Euphoria pedal.
The scale length is 22 ½” and it has D,G and B strings on (34,26,16 gauge) tuned Ab, Eb, Ab.

Ucore sounds a lot smoother than an ordinary flatpup placed at the bridge...(-:

ooh sounds like some good builds you've got going there...

Ha! I'll take OK. I'll take OK all day.

That guitar sounds great. Love the flatpups. I have a new guitar on the bench that will use a 3 pole and a Diddley Bug. I'm doing another reso with a 3 pole too.

I really like the open Ab tuning!  I've used it myself for singing.  My vocals are terrible, but a little less terrible when tuned up a half step from open G.  Strange.

Well first off, your playing.  Wow.  Early on you sound a lot like SlowHound or John McNair.   That's great.  Then good delta sounds then rocky.   Then the guitar.   Looks great.   Huh.   Kind of short scale.  And the tone:  flapup magic.   Nice video.

For everyone out there who wants to sound like Slowpaw, McNair and bemuzic (here)-  note the tuning and strings.  Better than the typical and lower strung GDg for this kind of playing and sound. It may not suit your singing voice as well, but it sure sounds good.
