The hand on the tail is to slap you for not feeding on time or giving the wrong food or just because they're a cat. LOL

Lol Nancy. A cat that strokes itself is a new one on me. Ours used to look at me when I was stroking them as if to say "silly human, I only came over for food" lol

Thanks Nancy. I think I must be half orangutan with the arms I've got lol. Thanks for the compliments. Very kind of you.

Thanks Tom. Glad you like it and thanks for the kind words on the playing too. I'm still very much learning but playing is starting to fall under the fingers a little more naturally of late.

Thanks again Nancy and Tom.

Cool Bear! Experimenting is what produces new sound combinations. I also like Unc's idea of extending the range with a different G tuning. Lot's of ways this could go. Good luck my friend!

Thanks for the comment and compliments Uncle John. To be completely transparent I used GDG, GDG because that's what I find the most instruction in and what my books teach. I knew (as much as one can know before building is finished) I'd be getting two sounds and I too was surprised to like the woody sound slightly more than the reso sound. I think part of it is that the reso side needs a preamp on it, or would benefit from a preamp. I'm wired to a single jack socket for both sides but a preamp on them both couldn't hurt anyway, I think?

I noticed in the emails I get from CBN that Shane Speal has an instructional on building a preamp so I think that's going to be my next project.

Thanks again my friend!
