Jonas in a cigar box

I'm a 30 year old, father of 2 daughters who live in the little orwellian country called Sweden.
I have mostly worked as an elecronics technician at a big mobile phone system manufacturer but I'm currently unemployed.

I have played both electric and acoustic guitars for a while but quite frankly I'm bored of it so this seems like a nice change.
My other interests are mountainbiking, hiking, paintball, computers, pretty much anything electrical, Aikido and whisky. One thing i have thought about is making a whisky box guitar (if i could ever find a wooden whisky box that fits the build that is).

I'm planning on building a 3-stringed CBG and a 2-stringed bass CBG both with active pre-amp/filters for a start.

Build started!

Yesterday me and JK had a day of work in the workshop so I started carving the neck to the 3 string and the material I use is oak.

I'm pretty pleased how the rounding on the neck turned out and I will most probably only sand it using low grit paper because i really like the "silky" finish.

The design will be very basic as it's my first build and i will mostly try to learn and get into the thinking.

Loads of very helpful people on the nation with any questions so don't be afraid to ask, I have, and I got a lot of assistance in all areas.
