Thanks Ronnie, New to all this, so just poking around the forum, the pics and viseos trying to learn enough to actually build one or at least try. Lots of VERY NICE instruments being shown. And they sound great as well.
I think I'll copy the scale length from my Epiphone Dot 335 since that's by far my most comfortable "made by others" git. Your photos gave me a great idea about the tailpiece on my first build. I was wondering how to keep the strings from digging into the wood where the exit the hole. I'll put a piece of fretwire there;that'll be a good way to practice fretwork for my next build.
