I am building a resonator cbg. My question is  about attaching a disc piezo , do you attach it to the sound cones back side? Will that interfere with the sound quality?  Any advice greatly appreciatedContinue

Recommended scale length

I can not make the finger stretch required to do some of the chords on  my 3 string cbg tuned GDgThe scale length I have is 23 3/4" for example the c chord  with it's 5th to 2nd fret stretch is just not possible for me.What is a reasonable scale length  for  a better fit to my hands?  I'd appreciate your suggestions.Thanks Ron HSee More

"Thanks everyone for the great info. I mounted it centered  on the inside of the cone. Embedded it in a little clear silicone sealer. It sounds fine to me. Sounds lot like my old squareneck dobro."
