Hi everyone,I have three devices that each require a 9volt. Amp, Donner Delay Pedal, Donner lopper.I experimented with chaining all three to one lithium 9volt battery. To my surprise it worked.I do…Continue
The first fretted CBG I pressed the frets into the cuts and they mostly held just fine. Over time two fell out and once they did they continue fall out despite firm re-hammering of them.So I tried…Continue
"I have this Boxking rechargeable power supply. It's really compact and has 8 x 9v, 1 x 12V and 1x 18/24v outputs. I have it powering Vox Stomplab, Mooer Blues Mood, Electro Harmonix Pitch Fork,Boss RC-3 Loop Station and my Roland Mobile Cube…"
"Separate batteries would be best, you’ll drain one battery a lot quicker. Really if you’re running 3 or more pedals then you’re best bet is a dedicated power supply if u want them all to sound good. A quickly draining battery will…"
Hi everyone,I have three devices that each require a 9volt. Amp, Donner Delay Pedal, Donner lopper.I experimented with chaining all three to one lithium 9volt battery. To my surprise it worked.I do not know how long it will last, or it doing this will damage the electronics. What I really would like to do is buy a large rechargeable battery to power everything, which could be added to the inside of the AMP. But all I can find is 6volt and 12 volt.I want to relay free of needing access to an…See More
"I have also read many tales of fret gluing on this site, but I have never needed to use glue. I just use a fret saw (stewmac) and hammer them or press them in place. Ive never had them fall out as they usually fit pretty snug in place. But if I did,…"
"Just to give a different view but more related to my full size guitars and refretting jobs.
I use glue for two reasons, one is to secure the fret better, the other to fill the void in the slot so I have a more solid a fretboard as I can get.
"Phil, I have had the same CA experience in the past....more glue outside than in. My solution, after diggin' around in CBN, Stew Mac, etc, was to purchase some "water thin" CA. It's available from many sources. I bought some…"
The first fretted CBG I pressed the frets into the cuts and they mostly held just fine. Over time two fell out and once they did they continue fall out despite firm re-hammering of them.So I tried just a dot of CA glue (thick) and it oozed on to the fret board which was unsightly. Is there a specific glue and/or gluing technique I need to use/follow?See More
"A magnetized slide would be sticking to your strings and frets (if you have them) and that might be problematic for playing.
If a magnet is close to a pickup, it will interfere with the pickup's magnetic field. That could be a bad thing or a…"
I use a metal slide and I was thinking about using a rare-earth magnet to secure it to the inside of my cigar box.I am curious if you think that is a bad idea? Obviously the slide will become slightly magnetic over time and could interfere with metal strings. Plus not sure if magnets will cause any negative impact to the pickups?See More
"Phil, I have always used a 1/16" drill bit to make pilot holes, rubbed the screws through a soft was bar, and screwed in the probably less-than-average screws that come with the tuners. No failures over 50 git builds. Pilot holes and lube are…"
"Coating the screws and predrilling are great ideas. I had same problem even after doing the before mentioned steps, I went to my local hardware store and bought good quality replacement screws. Economy priced hardware like tuners bolts and neck…"
