What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here, your membership may be rejected).
The build... that moment when the box tells me what it should be. I don't just grab a box and start building something, I look for the right box and wait until I see a clear vision of what it should be... what it WANTS to be! I want my instruments to be just that, instruments. I am a musician, so I create something playable 1st and foremost. I want my instruments to be art secondly. Something you would be proud to hang on the wall... but playable when you take it down. Playable Art.
I also love seeing the moment someone connects with one of my instruments! The smile when they first see it, and then they look in their eyes when they actually start making music on it is priceless. When they realize that this is NO NOVELTY ITEM!

Pictured above: Ms. Mojo in the Kentucky Mojo shop with "Monti" (the CBU belonging to Steve Young, "The Catheter Cowboy" and star of many Country Music videos),  Steve Johnson of Alabama Shakes demos Ky Mojo's "Curly Sue" for their upcoming build,  Sundance Head, winner of season 11 of NBC's The Voice (with his new Ky Mojo CBU "Mr. Punch", backstage at The Grand Ole Opry), and ASCAPs 2017 Christian Artist of the Year, Matthew West backstage holding his (his daughter has claimed this by now) Kentucky Mojo Cigar Box Ukulele!  He loved it so much that he even used it in his video for "Come on Christmas" (check it out here: https://youtu.be/BZBqvpogl80?t=3m42s)

Also pictured on our page but not shown here is Grammy award winning Casting Crowns Lead Guitarist Josh Mix with our memorial build "Ukulele Ray", and guitarist Juan DeVevo with our very first Bible Box Ukulele, "BBKing".

If I had realized we were not CBN friends, I would have asked you long ago.  Good to have you for a friend.  Love your builds.
