"I've actually in the middle of trying this very thing! I came across several identical cigar boxes, but they weren't as deep as I'd like them, so I cut out both bottoms up to about an inch from the sides and glued and clamped…"

Cigar Box Inserts

Hiya -  If you're like me and save even ridiculously under-sized scrap wood for some future fantasy project, you no doubt have a lot of cigar box inserts lying around. I was wondering...  What do you seasoned builders do with these things? The rectangular blocks and side inserts:The miscellaneous bits you sometimes come across (I keep finding these 'L' shaped bits):…See More

FoldedSoup replied to Taffy Evans's discussion Building my Uke bridge

FoldedSoup replied to Scott's discussion 4 string neck width
"How do you play? If, like me, you're a bit of a fingerpicker, you'll find that 4-strings on a 1 1/2" fretboard is doable, but a bit awkward. You can't physically fit a finger in between the stings unless you're skinner…"
