"An alternative way to check it. Tell your wife to close her eyes and stick out her tongue because you have something for her to taste. Then you touch the battery on her tongue, If she slaps the shit out you, it's still good!"

"Just had to take the wind right out of the sails didn't you? LOL if it's a 9v battery, touch the terminals to your tongue. If you get a tingle its good! If you get knock on your ass, you lived a tazer!"

"it is possible you have damaged the piezos themself if you put too much heat into them.   put your meter on the 200mV scale and put the leads across the solder points of the piezos. now tap the piezo, not too hard and see if you get any…"

"Have you tested through the pots? Your locations are ok. Do you have a way to in solder your leads from the pots and solder direct to a output jack then plug into your amp? Also check your patch cord. As a matter of fact try that first!"
