Cigar box mandolin

Greetings from hilly Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  I’ve been building mandolin kits and want to begin building one where I make design decisions.  A cigar box mando seems like a good way to do this.  I have a cigar box that I think is cedar and an old Hershey’s cocoa tin.  I’m trying to decide which I should use for my first build.  Any thoughts on why I should choose one over the other?  …See More
