"Love the song and your style, as a newbie I am really struggling to get that sound out of my CBG how ever hard I try to tune it, it just ain't right, sure you got better to do but any thoughts? regards Mike."
"Hi dan. Can definitely vouch for both the events below. I played at this years barrelhouse and have been to boxstock for the last three years and you couldn't wish to find a nicer bunch of people to meet and play/talk anything cbg related.
"Hi chipfat. I live in fareham, so not very far from you. If you're about, tomorrow(Sunday 16th) I will be playing some cbg blues at the "fareham" pub in trinity st in fareham. Starts at 8pm. Would be great to see you if you if you…"
"Hi bill. Just checking the basics, but what amp are you using? Have you got another you could try. I have had a similar issue with my Roland micro cube but guitar is ok on a regular amp. If not then it definitely sounds like a dodgy ground. Have you…"
I was looking to see if you'd replied about Barrelhouse but then I couldn't find any evidence of the message I thought I'd sent you! I do apologise if I didn't reply.
Barrelhouse'14: We've got 9 or 10 acts at present including Swamp Train Blues (from Switzerland!) and our very own Soulcatcher. Chickenbone John is running a 'Make & Play' workshop from 11.00am and I expect the music to start from 2.00pm until at least 9.00pm, maybe later, as a covers band that had been booked for the late session cannot now do the slot!
I really hope you will be able to join the festivities (including 18 real ales!), and players get a T-Shirt and half pint beer festival mug. How can you refuse.
Hi Alan, the 4 string reso looks bitchin'. I'm doing my own (1st build tho) and cheaper out on the cone - I'm using a steel dog bowl instead of a cone. I see you screwed the cone in. That's what I am doing but I've been reading that it should 'float'. Have you noticed a difference?
