Really diggin' Shaken Not Stirred. Bringing the funk. Lyrics are great as expected. Conspicuous consumption consumed all my gumption is a heck of a line. Bass vox are perfect. I could've used a little more of the slide through the end of the tune, but that's a minor quibble. Fine job Oily.
Thanks, Ron. The two Kodakanjos in the pic are already spoken-for, but I'll keep making them until the cans run out! PM me and lets talk, I'd love to build one for you.
It was our pleasure to listen believe me... look forward to getting into the new album when its available - will you let us know? also - what's the name of the 'first' album - let me kn ow if you can fit it in and I'll get a copy! Take care...
I allready broke my back ones, dont intend to do it twise Ron, but i hear ye, you must have seen him live i bet, the lyrics was my main inspiration, i know the man can tear it up! but thanks anyway! love your picking by the way,you got some medicine Rock Docter! Greeetzzz A.D.
I've always favored the Martin's but the Taylor I played yesterday blows everything else away. Our guitar player plays a Dana Bourgeois dread. She got it when we started playing together maybe 6 years ago and I never liked it until the last few years and it has opened up but the Taylor way out performed it.
Congrats!! Havin good instruments is like havin good tools and I just won't buy cheap stuff anymore

Funny about the slide part - it just comes in so strong. Go with yer gut next time! Good idea on the Marty Stuart quote for lyrics.

Hey, Ron
I scored a 1966 Mississippi license plate in an antique store. Making a license
plate guitar like merle, but I just couldn't make it out of a new one. It has to have
that total old print look for me as well.
Thanks for the info on the capo, looks like what I need. I bet you know about the
oilfield having lived in Eldo. Maybe you work for ARAMCO over there or know of
that company. Thanks , Buddy!
Hey, Ron, It ain't hard, we're playing cigar box guitars!. The tuning is GDGD which
makes me rethink guitar technique. Actually it makes some things more simple. In the
case of this song, or crossroad blues, or lots of others with a similar vibe that banjo
style tuning lets me play the bass behind the lead. However, I've got to expand my
tunings soon or I will hit a creative wall. Do you know of a capo that works well with
extra thick necks such as on my guitar? I'm searching for a simple but effective one.
Thanks! Ken Hale
Thanks for that huge compliment..but really I don't sing all that well..but wow..I really appreciate that you made my day Brother:)
whered ya go?what ...we collabin or sumpin...toodles
