HI Kevin thanks for your comment on my film trailer - next week there is a CBG festival here in the UK being hosted by Chickenbone John - I'll be there filming as part of a documentary about the CBG scene in the UK.
Thanks for askin kevin. i dont play much, but do have a video of that reso experiment on my page, its just a two stringer, but i think you will get the idea. i will have a three stringer up soon... tuna cans do work.
I love the vintage and raw feel of your new song, "One String Escape". As for "Kinder Eyes", what a haunting melody. Very, VERY nice. Your music seems true to the source in how you have rendered it. Post some more!!
Hey Kevin, how's The Vagrant coming along or have I completely missed it? I got a few posts from you a while back and wanted to check in. Hope things are going well for ya.
hey kevin just stopped by to say thanks fer checkin out my pics today. i,ll see if i can answer a few of yer questions. that lamp guitar sounds kinda like a cross between a banjo and a resonator guitar when ya playing slide on it. i have a short video of it by the name brass lamp guitar and d-bow video. my favorite build is the one i call the blue diamond. and as far as selling them i havent sold any yet but i gave away 5 of them. they all piled up in a corner of my room. thanks again fer all the nice comments kevin.

Hey man,
It's pretty crazy how simple the piezo thing is.
Just get your piezo, a .25" phone jack from radio-shack and some speaker wire. Sauder the two wires that extrude from the piezo to the corresponding prongs on the phone jack. Glue or double stick tape the piezo into the lid of your box. Drill a hole in the back of the box and screw the phone jack into place.
That's it! you got your self a screaming CBG. Be warned though. The pickup is really hot and you have to adjust your amp and volume a bit before it sounds good.
Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee
hello kevin hope you are well today, just letting you know that baby d-bow i built has a good sound,it is a short scale neck so i have a unwound string tuned up higher than normal pitch and the resonator tubes help to amplify the vibrations of the small cigar box.they also help to be able to hold on to it better, haaaaaaaaaa. i have built several d-bow,s and have many more to build. but my favorite of all has strings on both sides of the neck so you can flip it,and i built a body shaped like a coffin made from pvc like what is pipes in yer kitchen or bathroom. i have a video of this coffin style d-bow here at the nation if you would like to here it.have a great day man.
Yeah, I did a cost list of the parts necessary to build some (in number for sale) and I think that it would cost around $40 to $80 to build one at a time parts included. That doesn't account for if I buy parts in lots saving shipping and reusing spares. I dunno. What a hobby eh?
