It's pretty crazy how simple the piezo thing is.

Just get your piezo, a .25" phone jack from radio-shack and some speaker wire. Sauder the two wires that extrude from the piezo to the corresponding prongs on the phone jack. Glue or double stick tape the piezo into the lid of your box. Drill a hole in the back of the box and screw the phone jack into place.

That's it! you got your self a screaming CBG. Be warned though. The pickup is really hot and you have to adjust your amp and volume a bit before it sounds good.

At 8:56am on August 8, 2009, bairfoot cajun said…: hello kevin hope you are well today,just letting you know that baby d-bow i built has a good sound,it is a short scale neck so i have a unwound string tuned up higher than normal pitch and the resonator tubes help to amplify the vibrations of the small cigar box.they also help to be able to hold on to it better,haaaaaaaaaa. i have built several d-bow,s and have many more to build. but my favorite of all has strings on both sides of the neck so you can flip it,and i built a body shaped like a coffin made from pvc like what is pipes in yer kitchen or bathroom. i have a video of this coffin style d-bow here at the nation if you would like to here it.have a great day man.

That doesn't account for if I buy parts in lots saving shipping and reusing spares. I dunno. What a hobby eh?
