Thanks for the welcome Brian. I’ve been lurking around the site and watching piles of you tube videos already. I will check out the places you suggested. I am very near the point of tempting my first build. Thanks again. Tim R
Thanks for accepting my friend request Brian. I'm working on a build now that was intended to be a basic simple quick build. It's turned into the most frustrating one yet. Never had trouble with fretting before now. I used the fretting kit from CB Gitty but fret Slots seem a little wide. And looks like I'm gonna have some work leveling also. Maybe I just got lucky on previous builds.

May take me awhile to get some content and pics posted. Not very tech savy to say the least. But il figure it out eventually.
Hi, I was excited to find this place! I am a novice builder but also a professional artist in paint and sculpture. I hope to create boxes with style and maybe carved parts. I work in wood stone, fossil mammoth and walrus ivories, bone, etc, so maybe something exciting will come out of me. I sure hope so. I play guitars and some mandolin, so this is a logical step. I think if nothing else fun will happen! Thank you for the warm welcome! My friends call me "Doc."
I am a bit obsessed with getting great tone from piezos for archtop guitars without preamps. I followed Ted Crocker's diagram for 1 meg pots in volume and tone circuit and it definitely gives more volume. The tone caps I used were .022 instead of .0022 and it works to make the sound more clear but doesn't really cut treble, which is desirable in some instances.
Thanks for the invite..i live in central bc ..in canada and was wondering if you have a supplier in canada..the freight and money exchange and duty make my cost almost double what is advertised on this site..thanks for any reply
Can't wait to get started on my first attempt at a cigar box guitar. I've finally managed to find one in a Whisky and cigar shop in Knutsford, I'm just gathering together everything else I need then it's all systems go .
