hi craig how ya been old boy ,yep bridgewater my buddy howie vantassell has cobbler corner there he makes straps bike bags leather work ,thanks for the comment .
Hi Craig. Nice to hear from you, and thanks for the kind words regarding the da Vinci guitar. It turned out surprisingly well. Funny how that happens. I'm hoping to get to York this year but it buts right up to when I have to take my daughter to college. Might be tricky timing. I take it you're planning on going? Sure hope to see you there.
I read your comment. If you are interested in learning songs for 3 string CBG, please check out my instructional video CD 4. www.ebay.com Search: keni lee. The CBG is tuned GDg (Key of G). Additionally, you may find CD1 helpful too. It also contains 3 string CBG lessons, but with the CBG tuned and strung DAd. (Key of D) Due to the fact the intervals between the strings are the same, 151 from the Major scale, all the fret positions are the same. The CBG just sounds in another key. CD1 is mainly for 6 string guitar tuned in open D. (DADf#ad) Although, what I have been teaching students is that there is a relativity to open tunings. I basically reduce the 6 string arrangements into 3, 4, or 5 string arrangements. On CD 1, I teach "You Got To Move" for 6 string. After working with the CD 4 lessons, you will easily understand the approach, and be able to play this song on 3 string CBG. Enjoy your practice.
Hi Craig, thanks for your kind comment and interest in the drunken-meister,it is tuned to D f a...or thereabouts..the notes of a Dm chord if that is any help! Thanks again.Just looking through your photos and you have some quality builds,I'm liking the reso especially.Good work
hi craig the pieso gos on the cone, the big surface make shure its flat to it ,im thinkig maybe silicone inseted of hot glue need to experament more ,worse case ontario can always bypass it and try agin .
Hey there Craig. I expect shipment notice on those skull tuners (and a bunch of other great stuff) any day now. I'll definitely be giving much notice once they are in stock!
I completely understand Craig and thanks for sharing. I personally like the purity of quality acoustic CBG building too, but I encourage and enjoy research and development. Definitely, a CBG refrigerator to keep a few beers cold would be more practical LOL, but that has not been built yet. Enjoy the chaos!
if you have other issues we can figure it all out, i will help as much as i can. the lowe cone is a great sounding cone for a resonator.http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/my-lowezo
yep you have it figured right,if you don't have enough clearance to clear the brass cone that way then just trim a little of the wood(where it might touch the brass cone) away from the center beam that connects the neck to the block at the back of the box. then it all should work out good.
In this video I compare the three different wooden slides made by David Bell and Phil Young up against my Dunlop glass slide! I gotta say these wooden slides...
