<p>Thanx for that Ron, I love hearing all about the details of instruments :) did you use water or alcohol with the Keda dye? I have yet to try it with water, I use a food grade ethanol aka corn liquor as the alcohol/solvent?</p>

<p>Hi Brian; Thanks. The wood is a solid piece of tulip poplar from a tree that was close to 36 inches in diameter. It was disrupting a friend's historic home foundation so was cut down. I used several applications of red Keda Dye for the color. Tuners and strings from Gitty and the pu is a flat pickup from MGB. The pots are 500 Bourn and the nut and bridge are actually chrome plated brass I got from Ebay, the string spacing is less than normal 6 string laps, probabaly closer to what a 10…</p>
