Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words. It is funny but I post in another forum and had no replies to the same content as here. I am still blown away myself at how it turned out, I just sort of winged it and all the parts kind of worked together. At times thought I was nuts, the resonator cover was challenging, I would have liked to have done a better job of it but in the end it turned out fine.

Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words. It is funny but I post in another forum and had no replies to the same content as here.
I spent hours on the internet looking for different ideas, almost did a Hawaiian theme with palm trees and dolphins. And then birds and tree branches. In the end the clock look appealed to me in part with playing you need to keep time. Some of the flamed maple came from a wood supplier who threw it in with an order of a couple of back and side sets I bought from him. The sunburst was the result of having the sides darker than the top and back. I baked the sides previously to get them that color but I never seen it under finish until this project. When I did I realized that it was calling for the flamed maple binding. And because of the binding, the other flamed bits. I still have work to do on it, I am going to hum and hay about the volume and tone knobs for a while. Maybe with living with it around something will subconsciously click with me.

I am glad that I was given the incentive to take on this project, it was a lot of work but I learned from it and came away with something I am proud of.
It's beautiful, I love it.tag:www.cigarboxnation.com,2017-05-01:2592684:Comment:28585132017-05-01T16:35:21.457ZRubénhttps://www.cigarboxnation.com/profile/Ruben
