I AM GOING TO BUY A 29 MM PIEZO PU FOR MY LICENSE PLATE GUITAR. I AM WONDERING IF I SHOULD MOUNT THE PAD UNDER THE BRIDGE ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE LICENSE PLATE OR IS THERE A BETTER PLACE TO MOUNT IT. I HAVE EASY ACCESS ALL UNDER THE LICENSE PLATE SINCE THE BOX OPENS UP STILL. ALSO THE NECK IS A THROUGH BOX NECK IF THAT MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE. I WAS GOING TO PUT A PRE AMP PU IN BUT THE BOX ISNT WIDE OR DEEP ENOUGH. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

I glue mine on under side of through neck in bridge position here's a few pics hope it helps .
HI.
If you find that you really need a pre amp you can get them as and endpin jack about the diameter of a pen and about half as long, just need room for the battery.
Taff
Danny, somewhere near the bridge on the bass side is the general practise, but many do it elsewhere for a variety of reasons, the good thing about the box being open is that you can try different positions to find what you like before sealing the box. "Cause the Blue Rat" has a thread running in the forum section under "Squall bucker piezo" atm which might help you a bit.
