We recently moved to a new area. This past Saturday stopped in to an antique store and was smitten by this diddly bow. The huge single-tuner is very cool... wish I had a better shot to show it to you guys. The tag indicated is was from the 1930's.
And check out the old home-made fiddle. No background info on it.
This mountain dulcimer also on display is said to be locally made.
And here's a pie-plate banjo.
I felt a real connection with the people who built these.

Looks like a jack pot T-Gripped ! hope for you it was priced to suit your wallet! great find !!
I found 2 more: check out the 5-string dulcimer with some kind of metal curtain rod holder as the tail. Paneling for the body. [see the panel groove!]
Then the bird-head headstock on a fiddle.
They're all so cool! Love the old stuff as it really shows the true creativity folks had back then.....no tutorials or internet how-to-vids, they just built them out of love for music. Thanks for sharing!
My smile muscles hurt. - But, did you get home with one?
Thank you for the post!
Some kool stuff!
