Hi, Just a bit of personal history...I was a cabinet maker for many years - and very good at it.
I see on this form people making the best sounding instruments out of everything from broom sticks to
toilet bows... and they sound excellent!
My first build although it looks great - it just sounds Blunt and buzzy...
Anyway, I guess I just need to do more research.
I don't really have a point.. except for the question- has anyone else worked hard only to come up with fire kindling? LOL

Don't burn them, you need a point of reference. You my not see it at the moment but in time you'll be able to go back and fix it.
The photo I posted in the recent Resonator CBG thread of a hubcap guitar, is using the first guitar I ever built over 40 years ago, it failed to meet expectations, but now has new life.

sometimes I have to pull the strings off and level the frets a second time to eliminate a buzzy or dead spot .,.,or move a piezo if I missed the sweet spot.,.,yes it does happen.,.,.,
let us know what you decide.,.,
