I am using a new fret-slotting jig I built based on a design from http://sixgunguitars.com/fret_slotting_jig.html
It uses a razor blade for a slot locator. It works great!
I decided to build it after doing my first fretboard for a dulcimer stick. It was hard to get the slots perfectly straight. This little jig will be a real time saver. And the quality of my fretting just went up!

I cannot find Sixgunguitars' web site, seems he is no longer doing business as Six Gun Guitars. But, here is a link to his youtube video on his Fret Slot Duplicating Jig. I hope it answers all your questions. https://youtu.be/OCKR75uJ-ug?list=PL108871533216BCF5
do you have the plans ? or explain how the notch marker is held in place the web page is gone thanks
Robert, it is not adjustable for neck width. But, I do not think it needs to be. I have done standard size fretboards and thin ones for dulcimer sticks. It works well with different sizes.
Looks great! Is it adjustable for neck width?
I made one a couple of years ago and liked it so well I made another to support the narrow CBG necks.
looks like it would work very well indeed!!!:)
This one is based off the design on http://sixgunguitars.com/fret_slotting_jig.html
