This past weekend was the Florence (Oregon) Winter Music Festival and Artisan Fair. I built a bunch of CBGs to take.
I'm glad I've got so many garage sale clamps!
I picked up a bunch of boxes at local tobacco shops and liquidation stores.
Maybe I'll use this for a Valentine CBG:
I enjoyed being part of the Artisan Fair. I didn't sell any CBGs there, but I got a lot of interest. and gave away a number of business cards. So I'm hoping to still hear from attendees.
There were a lot of positive comments about recycling "junk" into something useful. This is Oregon, after all. By the way, that's a Bass Kalimba prototype on the bottom left.
A couple of members of the group Pretty Gritty, who were performing at the festival, dropped by and started jamming with my instruments. That was a kick! They'd never seen CBGs before, but they understood them right away. Sounded great.
Later, one of the guys, Blaine, came back for an encore:

Another vendor lent me his Fender Vibra Champ amplifier. I had installed a piezo disc pickup with 1 mf capacitor. It sounded great! No feedback or quackiness. And the warmth of the tube amplifier smoothed it all out.
It was a great weekend. I hope to do more fairs and sell some CBGs!

Great that you had a good experience first time out. Even when nothing sells, a good time can still be had.
