I had a great idea to make a stand for CBGs when you take to festivals. These fold flat, and tho only hold 3 CBGs, are very effective and will be quite handy. I will post a picture of the plans and the Google SketchUp (you can download the viewer or the app -- its free).

The construction is simple. (5) 1x2 furring strips 30" and (1) 1x4 furring strip 30", one 3/8" dowel cut into 2" lengths, and one 1.5" hinge.

Right thats me off to the work sho tonight after work......
Also the guitars can be held in place at the neck between the dowels if needed (wind, unruly hands, kids, need to move in a hurry). Also a tarp or plastic can be easily draped over if inclement weather approaches.

You know, if you really wanted to, you could cut the slots in the 1x4 and put the dowels a little closer, close the gap between the guitars and have them face right or left instead of outward. That way you can get more per stand. Perhaps up to 5 or 6. Hmmmm. I might'a just have'ta make me one like that.
